The Technology & Industrial Performance (TIP) is a central international team of around 550 employees spread across several sites in France and abroad. Its mission is to define and implement the Group's energy and environmental roadmap, while providing technical support to the Group's plants, particularly in Construction businesses such as Gypsum, Insulation, Mortars and Glass. TIP is also responsible for R&D programmes for products and processes in the Construction businesses, managing strategic investments and allocating capacity between countries.

The Technology & Industrial Performance (TIP) team within Saint‑Gobain Construction Chemicals is looking for a Group Process Engineer to support and strengthen industrial performance across our Admixtures, Resin & Fibers activities worldwide.

Reporting to the Engineering & PMO Director, you will play a key role at Group level by defining, deploying and continuously improving process standards, equipment specifications and engineering best practices, while supporting subsidiaries on major CAPEX projects and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Industrial Standards

  • Develop and maintain safe, reliable and cost‑effective process designs, procedures and equipment standards for Construction Chemicals manufacturing.
  • Define functional specifications, operating parameters and process documentation.
  • Lead or contribute to process hazard analyses (e.g. HAZOP) to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement by integrating lessons learned from plants and projects worldwide.

Project Investment & Execution Support

  • Provide engineering expertise to subsidiaries throughout CAPEX project lifecycles, from concept design to commissioning.
  • Support business cases, investment justification and technical decision‑making.
  • Participate in key milestones (design reviews, FAT, SAT, commissioning).
  • Interface with vendors, EPCs and contractors to ensure compliance with Group standards.
  • Support procurement teams with technical input for vendor selection and tender evaluations.

Technical Leadership & Expertise

  • Act as a subject matter expert for process equipment, upgrades and modifications.
  • Conduct audits of new and existing facilities and provide clear recommendations.
  • Support countries on asset management, troubleshooting and root cause analyses.
  • Share best practices and contribute to technical communities across the Group.

Innovation & Technology Adoption

  • Identify and deploy new technologies and process improvements to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability.
  • Support feasibility studies related to automation, energy efficiency and industrial innovation.
  • Collaborate with Technology and R&D teams on new product industrialisation.

Safety & Sustainability

  • Actively contribute to improving safety performance across the Group.
  • Ensure safety standards are embedded in all designs and projects.

Description du profil

  • Engineering degree (Chemical, Process or related field).
  • 15+ years of experience in chemical or process engineering, ideally in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong experience in multi‑plant, international CAPEX projects.
  • Solid knowledge of process design, equipment, ATEX / CE regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to work in matrix and multicultural environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
