As ProjectDirector, you will join a team of talented individuals dedicated to developinginternational projects in the recycling and recovery of both household andindustrial waste (international tenders, acquisitions or merchant plantimplementation). You will report to the Business Excellence Director.
The ProjectDirector manages the project development through all phases of upstreamdevelopment, feasibility study, commercial and contractual structuring,financing. He/She provides strategic oversight and leadership.
He/she definesa bid strategy and a competitive solution:
- Thanks to optimization between input/process/operation/output
- Consistent with group strategy and guidance, ensure alignment with consortium partners
- Technically deliverable, affordable and bankable
- Establishing a win-win partnership approach with the Client thanks to his/her proximity and market/competition knowledge
He/she structuresthe Project:
- Defines and sets up an adapted contractual scheme
- Ensures adequate risk exposure for Suez, whether in construction, O&M or as an equity shareholder
- Organizes coordination among all the Suez's fields of expertise required for a successful development of the project (feasibility study and delivery) and ensures appropriate resources are available
- Negotiates main contract with partners (shareholder agreement, PPA, EPC contract…)
- Assists the Investment department in discussions with Lenders
He/she steersthe project:
- Defines the project management plan (organisation chart, project schedule, governance, list of deliverables, etc.)
- Prepare and leads Steering Committee and reporting structures (senior management, OpCom and Board) to obtain necessary approvals
- Maintains excellent relationships with advisors (Technical, financial, legal), Business Units and clients
- Manages the project team with the support of the Bid Production Leader in a multicultural context
- Manages transition of the SPV from the bid team to the delivery team

Description du profil
Experience
Highereducation degree (engineering school or equivalent Master's degree).
At least 15years' experience in project/bid management in the waste infrastructure sector(ideally energy recovery).
Skills
- An understandingof the various business models and legal frameworks for waste infrastructureprojects combined with commercial flair and an ability to negotiate favourableand profitable "win-win" deals with the clients.
- A technicalknowledge of the Energy-from-waste industry and its regulations.
-Commercially astute with a proven track record in bidding, managing andsuccessfully delivering large-scale, complex, Energy from Waste projects inhigh-profile situations involving multiple stakeholders.
- An abilityto think and act strategically, setting the vision and translating this intorealistic steps for implementation, including the development of practical,innovative and creative solutions in complex situations.
- An abilityto reconcile the competing priorities of day-to-day activities with longer-termobjectives, to optimise performance.
- An abilityto evaluate and manage risks.
- An abilityto lead a project team in a multicultural environment.
- A highdegree of political sensitivity and awareness in dealing with public sectorclients.
- An abilityto deal effectively with the media and manage relationships with a diverserange of stakeholders and interested parties.
- A highlydeveloped oral, written and presentation skills in English, with the provenability to develop and gain ownership for a shared vision, combined with anability to communicate complex information in a clear and unambiguous way.
Position open to remote working: Suez promotes a healthy work-life balance, andthis position is open to remote working. International travel may be required depending on projectneeds.
