Description du poste
This is a fixed term contract starting in September and ending in late January.
In a complex and international environment, you will act as a strategic legal business partner to the Global Technical Operations (Global TechOps) organization. You will provide high-level legal advice and hands-on support to internal and external manufacturing teams, supply chain activities, and global support functions.
As a trusted advisor, you will contribute to key strategic projects, support Ipsen's product portfolio across the end-to-end supply chain, and actively help optimize ways of working within Global TechOps.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Legal Advisory
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on global Technical Operations activities, projects and transactions.
- Act as lead lawyer for Supply Chain Manufacturing sites and/or External Manufacturing Organization (EMO), serving as a key business partner in day-to-day operations.
- Advise Global Support Functions including Procurement, Global Supply Chain, Global Technical Services, Quality, EHS, Regulatory and other relevant stakeholders.
Contracting & Negotiations
- Lead the negotiation, drafting and review of a broad range of complex international agreements related to internal and external manufacturing, supply of critical raw materials and consumables, engineering and construction projects, equipment procurement, facilities, maintenance and services.
- Advise internal clients on the full contract lifecycle and interpret key contractual provisions in light of business objectives, operational realities and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Ensure contractual arrangements comply with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, corporate codes and internal policies.
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
- Proactively identify and manage key legal risks affecting Global TechOps.
- Intervene promptly to manage contractual disputes or litigation, including resolution, settlement and escalation in coordination with management, internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Manage relationships with external counsel.
Cross-functional Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Provide legal support to global projects and initiatives involving Global TechOps and Asset Teams.
- Develop, implement and maintain global legal tools, contract templates and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement of legal ways of working to increase efficiency, consistency and scalability.
Training & Business Enablement
- Deliver tailored legal and regulatory trainings to Global TechOps teams.
- Raise business awareness of applicable legal and regulatory requirements through day-to-day interactions and structured learning initiatives.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure close alignment with global and local functions including Insurance & Risk Management, Finance, Intellectual Property, R&D, Ethics & Compliance.
- Work closely with Regional Lawyers and Asset Teams to ensure consistent legal support.
Profile & Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5-7 years post-qualification experience, in legal support of Technical Operations.
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is a strong asset.
- Proven expertise in drafting, analyzing and negotiating complex international contracts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex legal issues pragmatically.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Assertive, confident and comfortable engaging at both legal and business leadership levels.
- Highly organized, proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Ability to work independently while remaining closely aligned with the broader Legal team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid experience managing external counsel.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
