About the Role:
The Medical Congress Manager is responsible for the strategic orchestration and successful delivery of medical activities across assigned Tier 1 and Tier 2 global congresses, spanning all therapy areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as the key medical point of contact, the role ensures alignment with Global Medical Affairs (GMA) and Global External Engagement (GEE) objectives, while driving excellence in congress planning, execution, and post-event evaluation.
Provide guidance/recommendations to ensure medical congress deliverables are in alignment with the GEE 3-year congress roadmap and Global Medical Objectives.
Actively participate/lead workstreams within the Global Congress Core Team
Coordination of medical booth design and content development and approval for assigned Tier 1 and 2 congresses, including evolution and implementation of the modular booth design
Ensure delivery of all outputs in accordance with regulatory and client-defined compliance guidelines
Manage & coordinate stakeholder requirements with all third-party suppliers/internal service providers
Identify & manage preparation of supportive meeting planning materials
Operate within budget limitations for each assigned congress and to feed into line manager where budget issues arise. Support budget tracking as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Strong experience in congress and project/asset management ideally within pharmaceutical industry
Previous experience of working with procurement team and external vendors/agencies is desirable
Strong budget management experience
International exposure or multi-cultural working environment
Excellent communication skills
English fluency
