Summary & Purpose of the Position

The ESG Reporting & Performance Lead will drive Ipsen's reporting and disclosure agenda by engaging, guiding, and energizing a network of internal contributors. Beyond compliance, the role anticipates evolving sustainability expectations and ensures that the real impact of Ipsen's efforts is visible and compelling. In doing so, the role strengthens Ipsen's credibility, transparency, and reputation with employees, leaders, and external stakeholders alike.
Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
The ESG Reporting & Performance Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing Ipsen's sustainability journey through five core dimensions:

Compliant and Impact-Driven Communication & Reporting
Lead flagship reporting: Co-ordinate, program manage and deliver Ipsen's annual Sustainability Statement (CSRD) and prepare content for other external reporting (Integrated Annual Report, etc.)
Oversee ESG ratings and questionnaires: Manage submissions for S&P Global, UN Global Compact, and other ratings/indices, from collaborator engagement and data collection to submission, gap-closing, and follow-up.
Ensure accuracy & consistency: Proactively monitor published ESG ratings and reports, addressing errors with providers. Ensure alignment across all disclosures.
Strengthen reporting systems: Develop and maintain robust ESG reporting processes, tools, and governance to guarantee timeliness, accuracy, audit-readiness, and transparency.
Collaborate across functions: Work with all departments to embed ESG data and practices into business processes.
Tailor communication: Provide reporting outputs adapted to different audiences (executive committees, board members, investors, employees, external stakeholders), balancing compliance with storytelling and impact.
External support coordination: Manage external assurance (auditors, taxonomy consultants, etc.) to ensure high-quality and credible reporting.

Drive the implementation of the sustainability strategy
Assist with the definition, methodology, and tracking of relevant KPIs to accurately reflect strategic priorities.
Establish / enhance robust processes for collecting and validating KPI data.
Develop and maintain a clear and up-to-date dashboard to track progress of strategically important Sustainability KPIs over time.

Assessment & Benchmarking
Monitor evolving regulations: Track and interpret changes in CSRD, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, SEC Climate, TCFD, ISSB, and other sustainability frameworks to ensure Ipsen's readiness.
Framework alignment: Ensure adherence to leading international reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ESRS) and incorporate them into Ipsen's reporting strategy.
Benchmark externally: Compare Ipsen's reporting practices with peers and industry leaders, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Improve tools: Evaluate and implement sustainability reporting technologies and solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
Integrate insights: Translate regulatory and benchmarking learnings into enhancements in Ipsen's reporting processes and strategic positioning.

Capability building & training
Design and deliver targeted sustainability training to build knowledge and capability across the organization. Own and lead the strategic 'Leaders driving Sustainability' program
Tools & methodologies: Develop and maintain practical reporting tools, standardized methodologies, playbooks, and guidance to ensure consistent application.
Operational excellence & continuous improvement: Enable user-friendly reporting processes, continuously improved based on regulatory changes, feedback, and reporting cycle learnings.

Engagement & Change Enablement
Strengthen internal understanding: Engage employees and leaders to ensure Ipsen's sustainability performance is clearly understood, meaningful, and inspiring. Foster pride and ownership by connecting reporting outcomes to daily actions and long-term impact.
Drive external credibility: Communicate Ipsen's sustainability efforts transparently to external stakeholders, reinforcing Ipsen's reputation as a responsible business.
Manage stakeholder interactions: Coordinate Ipsen's responses to ESG rating agencies and investors, maintaining a Q&A repository to ensure consistent, accurate, and transparent engagement.
Enable cultural change: Embed sustainability across functions by mobilizing networks (ambassadors, ERGs, committees), promoting shared ownership of sustainability commitments.
Share & scale best practices: Identify, develop, and disseminate sustainability reporting and engagement best practices across Ipsen to strengthen culture and performance.
Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge & Experience (essential):

At least 5-10 years of experience in CSR / Sustainability, with specific expertise in Disclosure / reporting

Strong experience in global and multicultural environments

Ability to work on cross functional project mode including management of multiple tasks, setting and priorities while setting and able to meet strict deadlines

Strong analytical, technical, and planning skills

Strong presentation skills and speaking ability
Languages (essential):

Fluent in both English and French.
