As part of CertainTeed IT's Digital Manufacturing Program, this position will help support projects relating to Digital Operations within the 100+ manufacturing sites throughout North America. This position will be REMOTE based, reporting to the Digital Transformation Manager, Digital Manufacturing.
The Software Engineer Lead is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a internal SGNA WCM application. This role involves leading a team of offshore developers, managing the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices, and collaborating with peers and stakeholders to ensure delivery and sustainability of in-demand software solutions.

The following skills and traits for this role are as follows:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in IT, business relationship building, or customer success roles.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred); 5+ years of experience leading IT projects and application support teams. 3+ years' experience with Adobe Illustrator and UI/UX design.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and experience with the Angular development framework. Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- IT Security & Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of IT security principles and excellent judgment with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Project Management & Leadership: Proven ability to manage IT projects, lead cross-functional teams, and drive successful outcomes. Experience with IT project management methodologies.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and across teams.
- Additional Experience & Knowledge: Exposure to SAP/Neptune coding, manufacturing SCADA/PLC systems, and plant infrastructure related to machine data flow is a plus.

- Team Management & Collaboration: Oversee and collaborate with offshore development teams to ensure timely delivery of platform updates, conduct regular meetings to synchronize work, and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
Project & Initiative Oversight: Assist in aligning development initiatives with strategic objectives, prioritize tasks, and partner with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, etc.) to ensure successful integration and deployment.. - Development & Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain software testing protocols, conduct code reviews, generate technical documentation, and suggest tools to enhance development workflows.
- Support & Issue Resolution: Manage incoming support tickets, diagnose critical issues, and contribute to 24/7 support to ensure smooth operation of applications and systems.
- Travel Requirement: This position involves approximately "up to" 25% travel, which may include visits to various sites or locations as part of your responsibilities.
