Quality Specialist - Manufacturing, Omniseal Solution, $27.00-$38.00 per hour, M-F 8:00AM-4:30PM

The Omniseal Solutions division under the Mobility business is looking for an Engineering Technician to join the Saint-Gobain team.

The Quality Specialist role is a high level position intended to be very versatile in that the person will be utilized in several key activities as needed. These key activities include, but are not limited to:

ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:

1. Quality Contract Review (Customer Purchase Order review and flow-down of requirements)
2. Document/Records Control
3. Pre-Release Workorder/Drawing Technical Review
4. Participate/Support Design for Manufacturing team and ECO team
5. Supplier PO Flow-Down
6. Lead/participate in Internal and customer Audits
7. Complete Customer questionnaires
8. Employee Stamp Control
9. Process customer complaints
10. Create Training Materials and Quality Alerts
11. PPAP support
12. First Article Inspections/FAIRs
13. Gauge R & R (MSA)

TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Dimensional Inspections (mechanical and using digital inspection equipment, CMM)
2. Create programs for digital inspection equipment
3. Visual Inspections (Dye Pen, Cleanroom, etc.)
4. Receiving Inspection
5. Material Review Board (MRB) Coordination
6. Final Product Release (Certification to SAE13001 DPRV preferred)
7. Training personnel on inspection techniques
8. Participate/Lead Continuous Improvement projects

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $27.00 to $38.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $56,160 to $86,944. • HS Diploma (required)
• Associates or bachelor degree is preferred
• Must have 3 years' experience in all quality-related activities (Receiving Inspection, Cleanroom Inspection, 980 Certifications, Contract Review, Customer Complaint Investigations). Required
• Must have hands on experience in creating and reviewing FAIRs per AS9102 (manually and/or in Net Inspect). Required
• Must be proficient in accessing and navigating through customer portals, using QAD, OnBase, EPDM and MQ1. Must be able to learn new digital tools/systems to increase process efficiency.
• Full Contract Review of customer PO's; Access customer portals to obtain drawings, specs, and other requirements; flow down on routers.
• In-depth knowledge of quality processes is a prerequisite:
  1. Receiving Inspection
  2. Final Dimensional & Visual Inspection - must be proficient in using inspection tools and equipment to conduct dimensional and visual inspections. Must pass vision exam.
  3. Quality Contract Review
  4. Op 980 - Shipping Documentation
  5. Coordinate External Source Inspection
  6. Documentation Complaint Investigation, including documentation in MQ1
  7. CERTIFICATION TO SAE 13001 SELF RELEASE DELEGATE
