This flagship project is critical to strengthening water security in Jordan, one of the most water-scarce countries in the world. The facility will produce high-quality drinking water from seawater using advanced desalination technologies, contributing to long-term sustainable supply for the region.
Located in Aqaba, the project combines high technical complexity, stringent environmental requirements, and strategic importance at national level. It reflects SUEZ's commitment to delivering innovative and resilient water solutions in challenging environments.
As Project Manager, reporting to the Project Director, you will be the operational and strategic leader of the project, ensuring its successful execution from design to commissioning.
Your responsibilities will include:
Defining, implementing, and adapting the project execution strategy for a complex desalination facility.
Ensuring strict compliance with QHSE standards and local regulatory requirements, particularly for marine and environmental aspects.
Delivering the project within scope: on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and technical standards.
Managing contract execution and safeguarding SUEZ's interests.
Leading, coordinating, and motivating a multicultural project team, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Managing interfaces with key stakeholders, including public authorities, client representatives, consultants, and subcontractors. Overseeing key technical aspects specific to desalination (intake/outfall systems, pre-treatment, RO systems, energy optimization).
Identifying and managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Providing clear and structured reporting to senior management.
Driving continuous improvement and lessons learned (REX).
Description du profil
Education: Engineering degree (civil, mechanical, electrical, or process/environmental).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong expertise in complex industrial and water infrastructure projects.
Solid knowledge of desalination technologies (RO preferred).
Proven leadership in managing large, multicultural teams.
Excellent stakeholder and contract management skills.
Strong analytical mindset with anticipation and risk management capabilities.
Results-driven with strong decision-making ability.
Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
