The Role

The Project Engineer makes decisions, both technical and financial, on projects, which are required for the safe, efficient operation of the facility. This includes vendor and contractor selection on engineering projects.

This individual also makes decisions that affect the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment. These impact production efficiencies, customer service, and product quality.

Capital Project Management
- Design
- Appropriation requests - preparation and justification
- Project preparation
- Construction management
- Transfer to plant owner
- Contribute to long term capital plan
Non-Capital Project and Plant Support
- Manage assigned engineering projects that do not fall under corporate capital spending guidelines.
- Assist plant maintenance personnel in troubleshooting process equipment.
- Train plant personnel on new equipment and systems.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and strive to implement sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 1+ years of project engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
- Electrical and/or controls experience, preferred
- Strong project management skills, including vendor selection
