The Production Operator II, Custom Fabrication is responsible for producing, designing, and crafting wood ceiling tiles and wall panels using specialized equipment and tools. This role involves interpreting drawings, fabricating complex components, and ensuring all products meet customer specifications.

Setup & Layout

• Determine the best method of shaping and assembling parts using shop drawings, blueprints, or supervisor instructions
• Prepare layouts and mark cutting and assembly lines on materials

Assembly & Fabrication

• Cut, shape, and smooth wooden parts using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, routers, sanders, planers)
• Fabricate and assemble components using wood veneers and solid surface materials
• Apply adhesives and fasteners to complete assemblies
• Operate specialized equipment such as beam saws, edge banders, and dowel machines (as required)
• Complete all stages of the woodworking process
• Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer specifications

Safety, Quality & Other Duties

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company policies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S standards
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical degree or certificate in Carpentry and/or construction preferred
• 2-5 years experience in manufacturing or woodworking experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
