Technology and industrial performance (TIP) is a central international team of around 550 employees spread across several sites in France and abroad. Its mission is to define and implement the Group's energy and environmental roadmap, while providing technical support to the Group's plants, particularly in Construction businesses such as Gypsum, Insulation, Mortars and Glass. TIP is also responsible for R&D programmes for products and processes in the Construction businesses, managing strategic investments and allocating capacity between countries.

The Central R&D Glass at TIP is looking for an IP Manager (W/M)

This position is based in Courbevoie - La Defense

• Main tasks
  • Develop and manage a dedicated Glass IP portfolio, supervise the regular re-assessments, continuously assess the portfolio's value in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders; collaborate closely with the Business to ensure awareness of the patents portfolio; and monitor competitors' and customers' IP portfolios and practices.
  • Develop a strategic, high quality, IP rights portfolio by identifying patentable inventions, and supervising the IP rights' prosecution at the Innovation Hubs and external law firms.
  • Manage offensive and defensive opposition proceedings and other validity proceedings, and strategically support litigation.
  • Coordinate and supervise internal IP teams working on Building Glass IP.
  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate risk associated with third party IP portfolios
  • Support IP due diligence related to M&A or disinvestment activities.

To support efficient and profitable operations of the Saint-Gobain Building Glass Segment by developing, managing, and enforcing a valuable portfolio of Industrial Property rights aligned with the strategies of the Group, while identifying and mitigating risk.
