Within TIP, The International Technical Department (DTI) is the central team of The Glass business that supports the activities of all flat glass manufacturing plants around the world to achieve operational excellence. In order to reach this goal, The DTI, with the diversity of profiles that make up its team in terms of nationality and experience, supports the 20 Glass plants with technical support, investment projects, 4.0 projects, CO2 projects, and much more. Description du poste
The DTI is looking for a Furnace Maintenance Expert to provide Technical Support to Glass Industry plants and ensure the sustainability and technical performance of the installations.
As Furnace Maintenance Expert you may be required, as part of your mission, to:
- Support various special operations: furnace heat-up, hot hold & furnace cool-down, patching, etc. Provide technical hotline support and train teams. Give directives and support for furnace crisis.
- Manage and optimize the costs of special operations and regular works.
- Develop expertise in refractories and hot works. Propose improvements to furnace maintenance methods. Ensure connection with specialists in "Melting Technology" and "Refractories." Participate in furnace design.
- Implement and share Best Practices and Audits. Develop preventive activities for monitoring and maintaining operation tools.
- Improve plant skills through training sessions and development of training content.
- Carry out continuous improvement projects.
- Monitor technical performance of plants. Set up weekly meetings with non-autonomous plants.
This position requires :
Travels / Mobility:
- DTI Aubervilliers: around 50%.
- Plant site and travels: around 50%

Description du profil
For this position, we are looking for someone with :
Education
- Engineer (bachelor or master degree)
Knowledge /Technical competencies
- Knowledge of issues related to glassmaking processes, refractories, and furnace construction. Significant experience in engineering and project management or furnace tempering operations..
- English skills: full verbal and written proficiency. French and/or Spanish are a plus.
Soft Skills and Abilities
- Rigorous, organized, and have a strong interest in industrial processes and teamwork in a multidisciplinary and multicultural context.
- Listening skills and strong communication abilities are essential to support and train teams.
