NOVA is Saint-Gobain's team responsible for identifying and assessing startups of strategic interest to the Group, with the aim of facilitating collaborations and making minority equity investments. The team, made up of around fifteen people based in the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia, is active across several innovation topics (construction technologies, new materials, circular economy, digital solutions for construction and industry, and energy transition) and currently manages around sixty investments.

You will join the Europe-Middle East team based at Saint-Gobain's headquarters in Paris La Défense. As an External Ventures Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Generating a high quality startup dealflow through strong market coverage and the development of a relevant network within the construction-tech and environmental ecosystems
- Building trusted relationships with the Group's various businesses across EMEA and supporting them in the understanding and definition of heir needs
- Analyzing opportnities to develop compelling investment cases, making recommendations, and executing investments when appropriate
- Contributing to Nova's various projects in EMEA to strengthen the team's impact
- Supporting NOVA's existing portfolio companies

Description du profil
Level of experience
Master's or PhD - Scientific background strongly appreciated
You have 4 to 10 years of professional experience. Experience in innovation, finance, consulting, or investment is a plus. Experience in the construction sector will be considered an advantage
Required skills:
- You are recognized for your rigor and strong analytical skills
- You are comfortable with startup analysis methodologies and the investment process.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- You enjoy teamwork and working on a wide range of topics.
- You are a strong communicator (verbally and in writing)
- You take initiative - Self-starter with a proven willingness to take and learn from risks, while also demonstrating the ability to find nuanced and innovative solutions to complex challenges
- Fluent in English and French; proficiency in another EMEA language is a plus.
Up to 25% travel expected.
