Description du poste
The Electrician is responsible for maintaining electrical and instrumentation components for manufacturing, cloth finishing, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal reliability and uptime.
This includes:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment using technical knowledge and theory
- Responding to service calls and call-ins to support production operations
- Ensuring availability of necessary tools, parts, and supplies for each jo
- Completing service records and recommending equipment modifications or component replacements
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician card and/or state electrician license preferred.
- Minimum of four years of industrial manufacturing electrical experience preferred.
- Additional education or experience in electrical and instrumentation systems preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems.
- Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, communicate effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Work Environment
This position is based in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, odors, moving machinery, and electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards. Required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and bump caps.
The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, working up to 12-hour shifts, performing repetitive tasks, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in confined spaces when necessary. Pre-employment requirements include a physical capabilities assessment, respirator fit testing, and a drug screening.

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and instrumentation systems in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical theory, industrial controls, and safe work practices, with hands-on experience supporting production equipment and facility infrastructure.
Candidates should have experience with power distribution systems, motor starters, lighting circuits, industrial control systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs, variable frequency AC/DC drives, motors, process instrumentation, transmitters, control valves, control loops, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is preferred. Familiarity with monitoring and controlling process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and pH is also desired.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment failures while minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Diagnose electrical, PLC, drive, and control system issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, procedures, and equipment manuals.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and operational documentation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
- Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and fall protection equipment.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, boom lifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, stooping, and working in confined spaces or extreme temperatures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
