The HR Manager will support and coordinate all human resources, organizational development, health, benefits, and training functions for a manufacturing plant. Will develop and facilitate the implementation of a strategic plan designed to move the manufacturing plant toward a world-class stature in employee engagement and human resource processes. This effort includes organizational assessment and diagnosis, development and training, employee involvement, team development, and group facilitation. Will coach managers and employees to achieve best communication practices and develop fine tune interaction capability. Will have budget responsibility for salary spending and administration, and oversee benefits of administration, communications, and will manage 3rd provider relations and local contracts. Manages the Human Resources business function and is a member of the plant(s) leadership team(s).
Union/Management Relations. The HR Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong, healthy relationship with the union. This position leads the administration of the collective bargaining agreement, grievance process, discipline, attendance, and union communications. The incumbent will manage all unemployment and workers' compensation claims along with assisting in the adjudication of any regulatory labor disputes. The HRM will assist in all aspects of contract negotiations.
Manage staffing and selection processes (including internal job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and selection of decisions). Work with local temporary staffing firms and colleges and universities to staff for peak production seasons
Direct and oversee performance management systems and processes (annual reviews, one-on-one coaching, progressive discipline, investigations)
Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues and post survey management
Manage wage and benefit administration (local surveys, competitive analysis job banding, job progression, wage increase recommendations, pay, and bonus administration)
Develop and implement and ensure consistent application of employee and plant policies and procedures.
Ensure company and government reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Insure HRIS is maximized in plant, implementing database solutions to reduce non-value-added work.
Responsible for the accurate and timely systems processing for hourly workforce changes in the HR systems.
Manages Employee Leave compliance programs, including FMLA, STD, and LTD
Active on the Safety Committee and can lead Management of Change reviews or safety incidents investigations
HR Projects and completion of annual and mandatory training for all employees
Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including medical, retirement plans, and compliance with legal requirements.
Support in maintaining records, compiling reports, and coordinating personnel activities to foster a positive work environment
Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
