• Apply continuous improvement principles to inventory management policies and procedures aligned with the business requirements.
• Measure and drive performance improvement in key operational and profitability metrics such as stock record accuracy (SRA) - Target 98% stock accuracy and cycle count accuracy (CCA).
• Refine processes with Finance to ensure proper stock treatment and compliance with ICRF.
• Effective control of FIFO principles and practices (RM and FG).
• Lead and conduct problem solving where required and ensure closure.
• Warehouse/Production stock bookings.
• Assist with customer claims by investigating short and over loading together with damages
• Responsible to maintain a working and practical housekeeping plant.
• Work close with H&S on all relevant stacking requirements and execution of such.
• To create an efficient working environment through clear communication & WCM tools.
• Control of dispatch and production forklift operations in accordance with applicable works instructions.
• Ensure that everyone in the warehouse obey safety regulations and observe safety precautions as laid down in the applicable legislation.
• Conduct stock takes and cycle counts as required.
• Compile monthly and periodic reports as required.

The purpose of this role will be to primarily focus on the people management, driving operational efficiencies in loading, offloading, cycle counts & individual KPIs, closely monitoring and accounting for safety practices in the operation. Must be responsible for stock variance investigation and resolution, production stock reconciliation while working with different stakeholders within the plant and external.

The ideal candidate must have a completed Matric or equivalent and must possess a Diploma or Degree in in Supply Chain Management & Operations Management. Candidate must have at least three to five years relevant experience within warehouse & distribution ideally in a manufacturing or plant environment. SAP experienced is required for this role including solid experience of stock handling, logistics and warehousing. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and experience to lead a warehouse team.
