The Sales Lead for CertainTeed will be accountable for driving growth across both new and existing customer segments. The BC sales team, including Territory Managers, will work closely with contractors and dealer/distribution partners to accelerate sales of CertainTeed's interior building solutions portfolio. This role will lead account planning and execution, developing and coordinating targeted activities to expand market share and position CertainTeed as the preferred partner across the BC region.
Additionally, the Field Sales Manager will collaborate with regional colleagues to deliver integrated, cross-functional customer planning sessions, unlocking and maximizing growth opportunities across the full Saint-Gobain product portfolio. This position will also support, lead, and grow the business by working cross-functionally on key Saint-Gobain initiatives, including securing non-residential projects and driving broader project wins.
Territory Location: British Columbia
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Western Canada Regional Sales Manager, this role drives profitable growth in British Columbia.
- Deliver sales targets by building demand with contractors, builders, and distribution partners. Works collaboratively with Territory Managers (TM), Architectural Sales Manager to deliver sales growth and sustained demand for residential segment and commercial projects.
- Grow market share across key product lines: Finishing, Value Added proudcts, Insulation, Gypsum, and Ceilings.
- Develop and execute account and regional sales plans in collaboration with Territory Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Build strong relationships across customers (contractors, distributors) and provide technical expertise.
- Lead key GSD accounts and support major buying group relationships.
- Identify, share and build new business opportunities and support non-residential project wins with cross functional project sales team.
- Coach and develop Territory Managers to enhance selling effectiveness.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitive activity to inform strategy.
- Support forecasting, pipeline management (Salesforce), and project tracking.
- Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to execute initiatives and support product development.
Description du profil
The Profile
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, marketing, business or similar discipline, or five (5) years of equivalent training and experience that provides thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and practices concerned with the field of construction.
- Minimum 10 years' of applied professional experience in the pull through sale of building material products, managing of senior customer relationships, sales presentations, job site calls and closing of sales.
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in construction products industry.
- Previous experience working directly with contractors, distributors.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking at a senior/ownership level.
- Good interpersonal, negotiating and problem solving skills
- Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication.
- Results driven, flexible, open-minded and ability to work in a team environment.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
