The company is based in Metamorfossi, Attica, with an additional production facility located in Aitoliko, Aitoloakarnania. The Aitoliko plant manufactures a comprehensive range of plasterboard products under the Rigips brand, made from natural plaster and adhering to European standards.
In addition to its local production, Saint-Gobain Hellas offers an extensive selection of certified drywall products sourced from the advanced production sites within the Saint-Gobain Group. These products enable designers and constructors to meet the most demanding building requirements, including sound insulation, fire protection, moisture resistance, impact resistance, load-bearing capabilities, and radiation protection.
Rigips products are designed to be environmentally friendly and beneficial to human health, providing optimal solutions for creating comfortable, healthy, and pleasant living and working spaces.

Saint Gobain Hellas is offering an opportunity for the position of
PLANT MANAGER
at the manufacturing facility in Aitoliko.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring the efficiency of production processes, upholding stringent quality standards, and promoting a safe and sustainable work environment. This role will require strategic planning, effective staff management, and close collaboration with various departments to achieve production objectives and improve overall operational performance.
Main accountabilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and shipping.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Achieve compliance with Saint-Gobain Safety Requirements and develop and implement local systems designed to foster a positive safety culture and promote safe behaviors. This will be accomplished through a risk reduction approach aimed at achieving zero incidents.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer service, quality, yield, output, and cost reduction while ensuring that market demand is consistently met.
- Formulate and execute a strategy aimed at developing the entire management team and workforce as a cohesive unit committed to achieving operational excellence.
- Develop engineering, technical, and process expertise to expand the capabilities of existing bottlenecks, thereby enhancing profitability, and reducing costs.
Team Leadership
- Manage, train, and mentor plant staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans for team members.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production processes.
Financial Oversight
- Prepare and manage the plant budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Analyze financial reports and implement cost-saving measures.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments, such as supply chain, engineering, and sales, to coordinate production activities and address any operational challenges.

Description du profil
Qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- More than 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficiency in English language. The knowledge of the French language will be considered as asset.
