Description du poste
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the EHS Manager plays a key strategic role in shaping, developing, and advancing the plant's environmental, health, and safety function. This position is responsible for proactively designing and implementing safety and environmental programs that foster a safe, healthy, and engagement-driven work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the plant's overall EHS strategy, including the annual EHS plan.
- Build and evolve a strong safety culture across the facility through leadership, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as corporate and plant policies.
- Assess current EHS practices, identify gaps, and implement innovative solutions to continuously improve performance.
- Partner closely with plant leadership to integrate safety into all aspects of operations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and influential leader to managers, supervisors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Lead incident investigations and resolution processes, ensuring root causes are identified, and sustainable corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate plant safety teams and initiatives, establishing processes and structures that support long-term success and continuous improvement.
What Makes This Opportunity Unique
- High level of autonomy and strategic influence within the plant.
- Opportunity to shape and strengthen the site's EHS programs and culture.
- Visible leadership role with direct partnership across plant operations and leadership teams
We're at a pivotal point in our plant's journey where safety, environmental stewardship, and employee well-being are more critical than ever to our long-term success. While we have some foundational programs in place, we're intentionally creating this role to bring in a leader who can elevate, shape, and modernize our EHS function.
This is not a "maintain the status quo" position --we need someone who is excited to build, influence, and make a lasting impact. You'll have the opportunity to assess where we are today and define where we go next, bringing structure, strategy, and innovation to our safety and environmental programs.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Strengthen and evolve our safety culture into one that is fully embedded across all levels of the organization
- Partner with plant and corporate leadership to integrate EHS into everyday operations and decision-making
- Build sustainable processes, not just programs, that drive consistency and accountability
- Lead with both expertise and influence, helping our teams think differently about safety and risk
- Take ownership of our EHS strategy and create a roadmap for continuous improvement
Quite simply, we need someone who will take this function and make it their own --someone who sees the opportunity to build something meaningful and leave a lasting legacy on the organization.
If you're motivated by the chance to create, lead, and truly make a difference, this role was designed with you in mind.
