The EHS Manager will be instrumental in driving the next phase of our company's operational evolution. The EHS role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of EHS programs and policies across multiple production sites and business units in North America.
The EHS Manager will be instrumental in driving the strategic initiatives that would ensure the safety of our team while also aligning with Saint-Gobain's vision around environment and sustainability. The EHS role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of EHS programs and policies across multiple production sites and business units, and to drive positive culture change. This role will have consistent interactions with key site personnel as well as senior leadership within SGP and the TIP NA organization. It is the responsibility of this role to ensure SGP NA sites meet minimum Saint-Gobain standards and deploy continuous improvement methodologies to keep advancing our Health and Safety agendas. For Sustainability this role provides guidance to the sites on closing gaps to business targets. The EHS Manager will also assist sites with incident classification, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans. The role is a liaison between the TIP NA Health & Safety organization and the SGP sites.
Provide strategic and hands‑on leadership for EHS across a multi‑site region, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and Group standards; driving risk assessment and engineered controls; leading incident prevention and learning; assuring contractor and change management; strengthening emergency preparedness; and building an engaged safety culture that delivers year‑over‑year improvement in EHS performance and sustainability outcomes.
This position will work closely with the Director of Digital Transformation to receive guidance regarding any interdependence with central Ceramics and the field in NA, as well as project scope(s), best practices and opportunities for collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - EHS Related Field or relevant science/engineering field - required
- Master's Degree - EHS Related Field or relevant science/engineering field - required
- 5+ years of experience with implementing site safety programs including comprehensive risk evaluations, employee training and behavioral improvements - required
- Designing and implementing industrial hygiene monitoring programs experience - required
- Strong understanding of Federal, State and Local HSE regulations and guidelines. Understanding and experience with ISO 14001 - required
- Preparing environmental reports and preparing permit applications such as air and waste water. Interacting with state and federal regulators.
- Strong working knowledge of Office 365 tools - required
- Experience conducting and facilitating problem solving or root cause analysis tools - required

Essential Functions:
- Own deployment of the Group EHS framework across the region: translate policy into site‑level procedures, set objectives/targets, and lead management review cycles.
- Develop and deploy annual EHS plan & roadmap aligned to business strategy, with clear milestones, budget asks, and risk‑based prioritization.
- Establishes and implements short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards. Provide oversite of the sites to manage their compliance calendars and ensure they are up to date.
- Provides site level support as needed, depending on site capability, for regulatory requirements.
- Leads the organization of EHS professionals to develop and deploy excellence in this discipline for company's operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices across the organization Identify and assess EHS risks and develop strategies to mitigate them,
- Conduct EHS audits and inspections as required to identify hazards and areas for improvement
- Provide EHS training and education to employees at all levels of the organization
- Provides timely and regular status reporting to management and key project stakeholders including the monthly EHS report. Provides reports on EHS performance, including benchmarks against industry standards or best practices. This also includes supporting all SGP NA sites with quarterly and annual environmental Gaia campaigns in alignment with Saint-Gobain requirements.
- Escalates poor performance as necessary to SGP leadership and provide recommendations for improvement.
