What's the job?

**This role can be remote with a preference for it to sit at Malvern HQ**

As the Director of Strategy, the individual will lead SGNA's development of strategy, support the definition and execution of the Region's strategic initiatives, and oversee the EPMO team in support of key business initiatives across the SGNA region, with responsibility for strategic initiatives from start to finish. The Director will support the group's leadership team in prioritizing strategic initiatives in line with SGNA LRP objectives and will be accountable for establishing a management system that enables all business leaders to maintain clear accountability, understand progress against strategic goals, and effectively deploy resources to maximize the impact of strategic initiatives. The role requires a mix of strategic thinking, influence and negotiation, project management, and effective prioritization.

Responsibilities

M&A and Integrations Support

  • Partner with Corporate Development and business leaders to evaluate, plan, and execute acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures that align with SGNA's strategic priorities.
  • Lead integration planning and execution to ensure seamless transition, value capture, and cultural alignment post-transaction.

External Growth Strategy

  • Identify and assess new market opportunities, partnerships, and business models to accelerate regional growth and diversification.
  • Develop data-driven business cases and collaborate with global and regional leadership to execute expansion strategies.

Strategic Planning - LRP & Budget

  • Lead the development and consolidation of the SGNA Long-Range Plan and annual strategic priorities in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Translate long-term strategy into actionable objectives, resource allocation, and budget recommendations for executive review.

EPMO Leadership

  • Oversee the Enterprise Project Management Office to ensure disciplined execution, governance, and visibility of key initiatives.
  • Establish frameworks and reporting systems that drive accountability, measure progress, and enable strategic decision-making.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $165,500 to $264,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 24% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $205,200 to $327,900. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee. This role may also be eligible to participate in the Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program which is awarded annually at management's discretion.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, or Private Equity, with demonstrated success leading complex strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • 5+ years of experience enterprise-level project management, with the ability to design and lead governance frameworks, implement PMO or EPMO structures, and drive consistent execution discipline across multiple business units.
  • Proven experience managing M&A transactions and post-merger integrations, including due diligence, synergy modeling, and value capture planning.
  • Strong background in strategic planning and portfolio management, with the ability to connect long-term strategy to operational execution and budgeting processes.
  • Expertise in enterprise-level project management and governance, ideally leading or overseeing an EPMO or large transformation office.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize insights into clear strategic recommendations.
  • High level of influence and executive communication skills, capable of aligning diverse stakeholders and driving decisions across a matrixed organization
