What's the job?
Data Strategy, Stewardship & Governance:
· Develop and execute the supply chain data strategy in alignment with enterprise data architecture and partner with IT data management teams on matters of governance, lineage, and quality controls.
· Lead cross function teams including Finance, Operations, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service and IT in alignment and execution of analytics roadmaps with business strategies.
· Facilitate recurring business case discovery meetings with functional data champions to establish proposals for digital solution projects.
· Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa to ensure usability and adoption.
· Provide training and documentation to upskill users on data tools, platforms, and digital workflows to champion the progression of a data-driven culture.
· Implement master data, metadata, and reference data standards; monitor quality and consistency with scorecards and remediation routines.
· Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements whilst upholding internal controls and audit readiness.
· Establish role-based access, data retention policies, and change management protocols for analytics assets.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
· Lead the design, build, and maintenance of self-service dashboards and detailed KPI reporting for critical supply chain focus areas such as service, cost, production, inventory, and forecast accuracy using standardized platforms and models to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of insights.
· Establish data definitions and KPI calculation standards to facilitate a single source of truth for executive and operational reporting.
· Engineer tools for advanced analysis on trends, variances, and what-if analysis to inform network strategy, inventory planning, and sourcing decisions.
· Facilitate the integration of data sets across multiple ERP systems, BI tools, and industry data.
· Design and implement the strategy and plan to operationalize embedded analytics and AI/ML features in supply chain platforms and validate model inputs/outputs, aligning tuning with business goals.
· Partner with data scientists and citizen data scientists to prototype, test, and deploy predictive/prescriptive use cases (e.g., demand sensing, lead-time reliability, inventory optimization).
· Drive experimentation with GenAI for insights summarization, exception triage, and natural-language query on supply chain data.
· Map value streams, identify bottlenecks, and implement best practices and automation to streamline planning, sourcing, production, and delivery processes.
· Use analytics to set baselines, targets, and control plans utilizing PDCA/Kaizen methodologies to sustain implemented improvements/gain
