Saint-Gobain Ceramics Performance Ceramics and Refractories is part of Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, Inc., a technical leader in advanced and industrial ceramics. We are currently hiring a Credit Analyst to serve in one or more areas of the Worcester Plant.

The person in this position will report directly to the Credit & Collections Manager and is responsible for investigating credit/debit/RMA inquiries from the customer and/or sales representatives. The credit analyst will work with internal SG groups, plants, and carriers to resolve issues within policies.

The Credit Analyst will manage an assigned portfolio of over 1000 accounts to reduce Days Sales Outstanding and minimize bad debt expense through prudent credit granting. The incumbent will use analysis, trade bureau information and sales organization data to determine an appropriate line of credit/financial exposure for the customer.

The Saint-Gobain Ceramics Credit and Collections group is responsible for credit investigations, establishing and maintaining credit lines, and the collection of accounts receivable for Specialty Grains and Powders and Performance Ceramics and Refractories. Must have ability to manage multiple on-going credit-workouts and work independently.

The position is located in the Worcester Performance Ceramics and Refractories plant.

- High school diploma/GED is required; BA/BS in Business Administration or Finance is preferred. The skills of this position are normally associated with an undergraduate degree and/or equivalent business experience.

- 2-4 years of Business credit and collections experience preferred.
- The candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and interpersonal skills are required. Proven analytical and organizational skills coupled with a pro-active approach to his or her work.
- The Credit Analyst should also possess a thorough understanding of the SGA distribution network, existing sales channels and general organizational structure.
- The Credit Analyst should have experience with enterprise systems (e.g. SAP) and strong PC application skills (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
