We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to $123,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,800. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

The Code & Compliance Engineer will proactively collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure all Commercial Building & Infrastructure (CBI) products and systems continually meet all regulatory, certification, and listing requirements. The Codes & Compliance Engineer works with functions such as Product Management, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing. This position will also actively participate in industry association meetings and committees to support CBI strategy.
Testing Program Management
- Oversee testing programs with third-party agencies to obtain required documentation for new and existing product approvals and certifications granted by Factory Mutual, Underwriters Laboratories, Miami-Dade Product Control, Florida Building Commission, Texas Department of Insurance, and others.
Certification
- Develop, negotiate, oversee, administer, and communicate all aspects of certification testing, including physical properties, fire performance, structural performance, resilience, thermal and moisture control performance, and sustainability contributions of all CBI products and systems.
- Testing will often require travel to assist in construction and to witness test progress and results, including analysis of failure mode.
- Prepare submittal packages and applications for product compliance certification renewals and revisions with required documentation and fees to avoid approval expirations.
- Develop and implement corrective action procedures to address any deficiencies identified by third party inspection agencies during factory audits.
- Advise R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to establish and implement product specifications and conformance plans to ensure new or revised products meet appropriate specification and certification requirements.
- Review packaging changes to ensure marking and other required information is presented to comply with certification requirements.
Customer Experience/Support
- Respond to requests from Territory Managers, Export Sales, Technical Service, Sales, and Marketing functions for assistance with product approvals and code interpretations.
- Update technical literature as needed, including technical data sheets, application manuals, product packaging and other documents.
Description du profil
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in mechanical, chemical, architecture, or construction technology
- 5 years Construction product manufacturing and testing
- 3 years Application of building codes and product certification process
- Well organized with concern for details, accuracy and capable to following instructions, meet schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities.
- Proven experience with building materials test labs with codes or regulatory bodies that provide product approvals or listings.
- Proven ability to work independently
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Demonstrates excellent written, oral, and listening skills
