The Poestenkill, NY manufacturing site is part of Saint-Gobain's Life Sciences Business Unit providing fluid transfer solutions for medical devices, closure systems, analytical equipment and bioprocesses. Production Bonding Operator - 1st Shift (1 Position Available) / Production Bonding Operator - 2nd Shift (1 Position Available)

The Production Bonding Operator is responible for the safe, efficient operation of production Bonding and Cap Assembly machinery to produce quality products within specifications and according to customer requirements.

This Operator has mastered the skills to run both manual and automated Bonding equipment and processes including, but not limited to welding, punch, glue and white room procedures. He/she is considered an expert resource on these processes and will actively participate in area WCM and 5S projects and be a training resource as needed.

As with all positions at SGPPL Poestenkill, this employee will follow all work practices, policies and procedures keep the facility in compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Standards as well as maintain standard 5S protocols. Compliance with all site EHS policies and safe work habits are mandated at all times.

Production Compounding Operator - 2nd Shift (1 Position Available)

The Production Compounding Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of production machinery to produce quality products within specifications and according to customer requirements. This position specializes in the operation of mixing, oven, slicing operations.

As with all positions at SGPPL Poestenkill, this employee will follow all work practices, policies and procedures keep the facility in compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Standards as well as maintain standard 5S protocols. Compliance with all site EHS policies and safe work habits are mandated at all times.

Production Extrusion Opeator - 2nd Shift (1 Position Available)

The Production Extrusion Operator is primarily responsible for the safe, efficient operation of production machinery to produce quality products within specifications and according to customer requirements. As with all positions at SGPPL Poestenkill, this employee will follow all workplace practices, policies and procedures.

This Operator has mastered the skills of the extrusion machine as well as associated milling and priming operations. The position is considered an expert resource on these processes and will actively participate in area WCM and 5S projects and be a training resource as needed.

As with all positions at SGPPL Poestenkill, this employee will follow all work practices, policies and procedures keep the facility in compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Standards as well as maintain standard 5S protocols. Compliance with all site EHS policies and safe work habits are mandated at all times.

1st shift position schedules are 5:30AM - 2:00PM.

2nd shift position schedules are 1:30PM - 10:00PM.

Production Bonding Operator Responsibilities

• Expert operation of all Bonding machines and processes including manual and automated welding, press fit, glue and white room equipment in accordance with manufacturing instructions, customer specifications, quality and safety guidelines.
• Accurately completes all necessary quality, inventory and manufacturing documentation. Ensures smooth transition to next shift operator communicating all instructions, issues and/or problems via current WCM standards.
• Perform basic Quality in-process inspections in accordance with current Quality procedures and guidelines.
• Serve as training resource for new and entry level Operators as needed.
• Diligently supports and follows all SG Poestenkill EHS & 5S program requirements.
• Other Duties as needed
• As time and business requirements allow this individual may support other manufacturing areas

Production Compounding Operator Responsibilities

• Operates specific production machine(s) or process as directed by the daily production schedule to produce quality product within specifications. Machinery in this role may include milling, oven & slicing operations. Operates specific production or process consistently meeting production, quality and EHS standards.
• Continually monitors and product quality, communicating any problems or variations to the Shift Supervisor. Makes necessary machine adjustments to ensure product quality.
• Accurately completes all necessary quality, inventory, and manufacturing documentation every shift
• Ensures smooth transition to next shift operator communicating all instructions, issues and/or problems
• Communicates equipment or facility repair needs to appropriate personnel as necessary.
• Other Duties as needed- As time and business requirements allow this individual may support other manufacturing areas
• Complies with and enforces all EHS policies and procedures as well as participates in all Site required EHS training and Audit Programs.

Production Extrusion Operator Responsibilities

• Expert operation of the extrusion process including the associated Roll Mill and Priming Station in accordance with Customer and internal product specifications. Extruding operations uses compound mixed in mills and filmed primmed accordance with work instructions, customer specifications, quality and safety guidelines.
• Accurately completes all necessary quality, inventory and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform basic Quality in-process inspections in accordance with current Quality procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures smooth transition to next shift operator communicating all instructions, issues and/or problems via current WCM standards.
• Serve as training resource for new and entry level Operators as needed.
• Diligently supports and follows all SG PONY EHS & 5S program requirements.
• Other Duties as needed
• As time and business requirements allow this individual may support other manufacturing areas
