Senior Procurement Category Manager - FF&E and Construction (m/f/d)
As a member of Astore's Category Management team, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our regional strategy, while delivering high-value solutions to our hotel partners. You will be responsible for Technical Categories related to Equipment and Maintenance across the ENA region, with a strong focus on France as the primary market within your scope.
In this role, you will drive category performance end-to-end-from strategy development to supplier selection and contract deployment-while ensuring value creation, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
What will you do?
- As Category Manager, you will define and implement strategies aligned with financial targets, market dynamics and client needs.
- Be responsible for all (local) procurement for your categories, managing the offers on your marketplace; in addition you are responsible for revenue and profit for the categories in your scope
- Identify, source, and manage a panel of strategic suppliers, ensuring strong performance and long-term partnerships
- Define and implement strategies for your assigned categories to achieve financial targets and enhance client satisfaction
- Identify and deploy best practices, synergies, and innovation opportunities across the region
- Manage the selection and decision making process on suppliers, including assessment of supplier quotations, and negotiate contracts, prices and T&Cs; fully responsible for the source-to-contract-process for your categories, including all RFI-/RFP-/RFQ-processes ensuring best-in-class solutions and competitive positioning
- Ensure the effective deployment of negotiated solutions within hotels and support client adoption
- Take full ownership of financial performance, including EBIT, revenue, customer savings, and bad debt control for your portfolio.
What's in there for you?
- Master degree in Business or Engineering
- 5 years of proven experience in Procurement and category management, ideally within technical categories (e.g. lifts, automatic doors, fire protection systems, HVAC, maintenance services).
- Expertise in project procurement and -category management
- Strategic and analytical mindset with a strong customer & results-driven mindset.
- Skilled in managing complex tenders and internal & external stakeholders relationships
- Full professional proficiency in English and French is a must; any additional European language is a plus
- Comfortable working in multicultural and cross-functional
