Are you a seasoned Business-focused Business Analyst ready to support a range of operational, process, and organizational initiatives? Trissential is seeking a Business Analyst to join our client's team in St. Paul, MN. Your Role & Responsibilities
Business & Operational Analysis
- Lead interviews, workshops, and observations to understand current business practices.
- Document business requirements, business rules, workflows, and operational impacts.
- Assess current-state pain points and define future-state processes and capabilities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
- Partner with business leaders to clarify objectives, resolve issues, and build consensus.
- Translate business needs into actionable recommendations and decision inputs.
- Support business case development and impact/benefit assessments.
Operational Readiness & Change Support
- Identify process, role, and policy changes needed for successful implementation.
- Support communications, training planning, and stakeholder readiness activities.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth transition to steady-state.
Project & Delivery Support
- Contribute to project planning and coordination of business-side activities.
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure business requirements are well understood and carry forward to the technology solution.
- Drive business process design validation and technology solution alignment to functional requirements.
- Participate in post-implementation reviews to confirm business objectives were achieved.
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working on business operations, process improvement, organizational change initiatives supported by technology solutions as required.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics, connect cross-functional impacts, and drive clarity.
- Experience preparing business process documentation, workflow maps, and change impact assessments.
- Comfort managing multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency in typical business tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio or similar process tools).
Bonus Points If You Have
- Strong understanding of technology solution definition, build, validation and deployment processes; serving as the business advocate.
- Exposure to organizational change management or operational readiness.
- Business analysis certifications (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP).
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, management, communications, information technology or related field
