Intern - ESG AI Solutions Analyst
Location: ENGIE Campus, La Garenne-Colombes, France
Start date: January/February 2027
Context
Within the Sustainability Department, the ESG team identifies social and environmental risks across energy value chains and works closely with the business to implement appropriate mitigation actions.
The team's objective is to maintain a sustainable energy portfolio with high social and environmental standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations worldwide.
The energy supply chain under review includes biomass sourcing, natural gas and LNG, carbon credits, renewable and conventional power, and other energy-related activities.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of ESG processes by leveraging artificial intelligence solutions to support sustainability due diligence activities.
Your Mission
As an ESG AI Solutions Intern, your main responsibility will be to:
- Design and develop an AI agent to support ESG due diligence activities;
- Help automate the identification of ESG risks across energy value chains;
- Develop functionalities that propose mitigation actions based on internal ESG strategies, standards and guidelines;
- Contribute to the optimization and digitalization of ESG assessment processes;
- Collaborate with ESG experts and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the solution;
- Support reporting and presentation of project outcomes to internal stakeholders.
What we are looking for

- Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and practical experience in developing AI solutions or AI agents;
- Strong analytical background and problem-solving capabilities;
- Excellent reporting, presentation and communication skills;
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a logical, concise and easy-to-understand manner;
- Ability to structure, analyze and synthesize information effectively.

Education & Experience
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related field;
- Demonstrated interest in AI technologies and their practical applications;
- Previous academic, personal or professional projects involving AI, machine learning or automation would be an asset.
Languages
- Fluent English is mandatory;
- French is a plus;
- Any additional European language is considered an advantage.
