Description du poste

Our Advisory Group helps clients manage risk and navigate complex challenges associated with large construction projects. We conduct risk assessments, develop management plans, establish project controls, and monitor project progress to help our clients successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.

As a Summer Intern, you'll be an integral part of our team from day one. You'll work on active projects alongside Associates and Managers, gaining hands-on experience and responsibilities comparable to those of an entry-level Associate.

What You'll Do

You'll gain exposure to both construction-related and business damages while developing practical skills in financial analysis, project schedules, and claims analysis. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Calculating monetary damages and assisting with claims preparation.
  • Analyzing construction schedules to identify delays, determine their causes, and evaluate responsibility.
  • Reviewing financial records, contracts, statements, and other accounting documentation.
  • Assisting with calculations related to lost profits and changes in property value.
  • Supporting the analysis of construction project costs, schedules, and financial impacts.
  • Conducting research and analysis to support client projects.
  • Collaborating with Associates and Managers across a variety of projects and cases.

Most of your work will be office-based, with little to no regular job-site travel. Occasional site visits may occur based on project needs.

Your Internship Experience

Every day will provide an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful client work.

  • Hands-On Experience: Work on active projects from the start of your internship.
  • Project Variety: Gain exposure to both smaller, full life-cycle projects and larger, ongoing matters.
  • Mentorship: Work closely with experienced Associates and Managers who will provide guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Cross-Team Exposure: Collaborate with multiple Managers and project teams, gaining insight into a variety of cases and approaches.
  • Professional Development: Participate in lunch & learns, team-building activities, and other opportunities to connect with colleagues.

Our Team

Our office is a close-knit team of approximately 25 professionals. You'll have access to the resources and opportunities of a larger organization while enjoying the collaborative and supportive environment of a smaller office.

Throughout the summer, you'll work closely with your mentor(s) as well as other experienced professionals across the team.

What You'll Gain

By the end of the internship, you'll have practical experience in:

  • Construction and business damages analysis.
  • Financial and accounting record review.
  • Construction schedule and delay analysis.
  • Monetary damages and claims calculations.
  • Project controls, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world client challenges.
  • Collaborating with professionals on active client projects.
