Mission of the job
Member of the Northern Europe team, the STSM Ruminant needs to have a double mission.
1. Responsible for educating the market on the virtues of AA balancing and the practical AA formulation strategies to maximize value to the dairy producers, the feed and premix companies. Provide technical support to all products in Adisseo's ruminant portfolio, develop strategies to promote and expand the use of current products, contribute to the technical positioning, and realization of technical marketing documents and the technical development of new market niches for existing products. While carrying out the job, the candidate should represent Adisseo to the ruminant scientific and technical authorities and make presentations at conferences in the geographical area covered.
2. Responsible for promoting and selling the Specialty product lines within the assigned geographical area. Propose adapted and tailored solutions, combining Adisseo products and services and demonstrating value to identified customers. The STSM Ruminant mission is to understand the decision-making process within customer organizations to successfully develop Ruminant product sales. The scope of this role covers DACH, Benelux and Nordic countries.
The main stakes of this position consist of:
- Provide technical support to feed customers or prescribers to develop sales of the Ruminant Product Portfolio.
- Be knowledgeable in amino acid formulation for Ruminants.
- Contribute to technical positioning of products and to technical marketing documents.
- Make presentations at professional and customer conferences and contribute to writing technical articles for the popular press.
- Manage field trials.
- Proposing to customers suitable solutions constituted by one or a combination of Ruminant products from Adisseo.
- Ensuring the necessary follow-up of the nutritional projects to achieve objectives in terms of sales and qualitative targets.
- Strong engagement to grow the market, keen on identifying new potential with a hunting mindset.
The STSM Ruminant should participate in helping and providing the necessary support to establish and maintain long-term business relationships with the new and current customers and especially with the key accounts according to the strategy.
Responsabilités:
- Deep knowledge of the Ruminant products sales tools, technical and marketing information, market environment, including competition.
- Master the associated services of the Specialty products.
- Customer management: you will be responsible to several customers, and you will manage the sales process for all Adisseo (Ruminant) products.
- Understand the decision-making process of the customers' organization.
- Presentation and promotion of the Ruminant products to customers, prospects and any other players susceptible to be involved into the process decision.
- Manage and interpret customers' requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
- Collaborate closely with the team in the promotion of Adisseo products.
- Manage and train the Distributor/Agent sales forces and marketing teams and visit identified customers together.
- Monitor local technical trials.
- Expand market awareness and generate demand in the determined area through visits to customers, end-users, influencers, key opinion leaders and to any other stakeholders identified as important to improve market penetration with the Ruminant products (pull strategy).
- Record and manage all interactions with customers and prospects via the Adisseo CRM tool.
- Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Participate in the definition of the priorities in terms of Ruminant products development in the assigned area, split by customers segmentations
- Ensure the success of the new product launches in the area, planning actions and defining local tactics to achieve objectives.
- Report any information of interest for the rest of Adisseo and more precisely maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and do market intelligence on competitors pricing or marketing strategies.
Profil:
Hard Skills
- Practical knowledge/work experience of ruminant production systems.
- Expertise in amino acid formulation for ruminants.
- Experience in selling a technical product or process.
- Thorough knowledge of the ruminant nutrition business in the DACH territory.
- Professional knowledge of amino acid balancing and at least one formulation software for ruminants (INRA, DVE, CNCPS, NRC, customer company software, etc.)
- Advanced computer skills, comfortable with statistical packages such as SAS.
- Advanced user of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Strong organizational skills.
Education
- Degree in Dairy Science, Metabolism, Physiology, or related subject
