Misión del puesto

The Production Director will be responsible for leading and managing the manufacturing department of Adisseo Animal Nutrition ("ANA"), ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, sustainability, and hygiene. ANA's manufacturing department consists of ten production units across two plants: one located in Alcalá de Gurrea and the other in Barbastro.

This position will also lead three production managers: one for the classical/old plant, one for SPEX, and one for the Barbastro plant.

As a key member of ANA's leadership team, reporting to the General Director, the Production Director will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that ANA's production objectives are met, and that ANA achieves the annual and strategic targets defined in the business plan.

Building on recognized expertise in operational excellence within a similarly sized industrial environment, the Production Director will be responsible for proposing and executing a plan to become the reference plant of the SBU within three years.



Responsabilités:
  • Developing the safety culture of the team and managing Process Safety. They will apply ANA's HSE policy by participating in leadership meetings, establishing departmental HSE objectives, and measuring performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with QHSE standards and established work procedures.
  • Guaranteeing the knowledge and application of these standards in all manufacturing plants, as well as compliance with internal regulations.
  • Managing the production process in terms of quality, timelines, volumes, and costs (both fixed and variable manufacturing costs).
  • Coordinating the team: motivating direct reports, ensuring operational development (management style and communication skills), collective efficiency, training needs, and implementing organizational changes when needed.
  • Organizing the continuous improvement strategy at ANA, defining priorities, promoting the establishment and deployment of operational excellence, and coordinating departments and support resources.
  • Implementing a 360-degree information system, based on KPIs and visual management.
  • Proposing technical and organizational objectives for the Manufacturing Departments in Alcalá de Gurrea and Barbastro (Huesca).
  • Preparing the annual budget for the department and issuing established monthly reports.
  • Contributing to the 5-year investment plan for the plant and participating in ANA's investment project groups: proposing and implementing actions to ensure a successful and efficient start-up of new investments.
  • Acting as a member and leader of the HACCP team.
  • Acting as a member and leader of the Crisis Committee.

Profil:

Hard Skills

  • Minimum ten years of experience in a similar position (chemical industry or premixes).
  • Proven experience implementing operational excellence tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in the startup and commissioning of industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and chemical processes.
  • Knowledge of basic chemical engineering operations (distillation, spherization, powder mixing, spray drying, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and finance (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • French language skills (asset).
  • Proficiency in SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) and MS Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of business processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operating instructions.
  • Knowledge of FAMI-QS and HACCP.
  • Strong culture in quality, safety, environmental, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Knowledge of operational excellence tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.

  • Proven experience in people management and inclusive leadership.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high standards in quality, hygiene, sustainability, and safety.

Education

  • University degree in technical field: Production Management, Chemical Sciences, Physics, or other industrial-related studies.
  • Operational excellence training, preferably Black Belt + Six Sigma.
