As Lead Buyer, you will play a strategic role in securing the goods and services that enable Adisseo's innovation and industrial performance. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement excellence across two key areas: Research & Innovation Europe and Catalysts.
Research & Innovation (R&I) Europe
- Support for R&I developments managed by the European R&I team across all SBUs
- Areas of expertise: chemistry, animal nutrition, biotechnology, analytical sciences, process design, customer technical support, in-silico, in-vitro and in-vivo R&D
- Categories : external research collaborations (public and private), R&D and analytical services, laboratory equipment, technology licenses, maintenance services for facilities and equipment, laboratory consumables, …
Catalysts (Global Scope)
You will lead and coordinate catalyst procurement activities supporting Adisseo manufacturing sites across Europe and China.
Responsabilités:
Main Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities (gather functional requirements, establish ad hoc Purchasing strategies, identify suppliers and launch Request for Quotations, compare the offers and conduct negotiations)
- Draft contractual terms with the support of the legal department, establish purchase contracts including key company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Manage supplier relationships, ensure proper contract execution, and handle potential disputes
- Evaluate supplier performance, conduct audits, monitor claims, and implement corrective actions if necessary
- Ensure competitive intelligence, monitor market trends and developments, anticipate supply risks, and maintain a panel of suppliers capable of ensuring competitive and innovative supply
- Comply with standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety, quality, sustainability, and ethics (Corporate Social Responsibility)
- Ensure compliance with internal purchasing procedures and the company's quality policy
- Provide reports and analyses to monitor the performance of the Purchasing function and compliance with budget commitments
Profil:
Profile required:
- Prior minimum 5 years' experience in a Procurement role is mandatory and prior experience within the same category or market segment is a plus
- Ability to work in a team and interact with various stakeholders, excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and synthesize business needs and supplier proposals
- Good knowledge of purchasing techniques and the related segments and good knowledge of IT tools (ERP, Xls, Word)
- Curiosity and rigor, organizational skills, and priority management
- Strong ethics and strong commitment to confidentiality
- Team oriented mindset and ability to interface within matrix organizations
- Fluent English both written and spoken
