Key missions / responsibilities :
Planning and conducting strategic studies and robust qualitative and quantitative analysis relating to the strategy of EDFR in its different countries and globally, for instance on technologies and their economics; markets and revenue streams; macroeconomic, political and regulatory context; competitors and partners; etc
Clearly synthesising and communicating the analysis and its implications through presentations, papers and verbal communications
Acting as needed as a point of contact to other teams in EDFR on selected strategic matters, and to other departments in EDF Group on selected projects relating to EDFR
Consistent exhibition and promotion of company values and agenda and the reputation of the team and the business
The role involves working in a dynamic and stimulating international context on key projects for EDFR, covering a large range of technologies, countries, business models and types of clients, and with interfaces to different parts of EDF Group.
Profile requirements:
Enthusiasm for challenging projects and analytical activity relating to energy technologies and their economics
Degree likely in a numerate discipline such as economics, business, engineering or mathematics
Experience in strategy or other analytical function; strong problem-solving, numerical and analytical skills, incl. ability to perform first-time right complex, rigorous quantitative analysis, and to identify business risks, opportunities and potential solutions
Understanding of the electricity sector (energy systems, market mechanisms, regulatory context, competition etc); knowledge of EDF Group
Positive, "can-do" attitude, ability to quickly tackle new topics and take initiative to shape work
Ability to develop clear communications and presentations
Outcome focussed; able to manage own work flexibly and in multiple simultaneous projects
Customer focus; enthusiasm to work collaboratively as a member of the team and across the organisation
Continuous improvement mindset
Strong written and spoken English. Fluency in French is strongly desirable
