Position Mission
The Maintenance and Projects Manager is responsible for ensuring that all industrial assets (installations and equipment) are maintained in optimal operating condition and for anticipating potential risks of breakdown.
They will implement a maintenance plan that guarantees equipment availability and safety, within a defined budget and in full compliance with all applicable QHSE regulations related to their activities.
Scope of Responsibilities
The role covers four main areas of responsibility:
- Ensure maintenance of operational units by applying the department's preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance policies.
- Improve the reliability of installations and optimize maintenance costs.
- Participate in the execution of new projects and/or development studies.
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians and project engineers within the Specialty SBU.
Responsabilités:
- Prepare detailed provisional budgets, analyze expenditures, and carry out the necessary cost trade-offs and adjustments.
- Identify and implement appropriate methods to assess the condition of installations and equipment.
- Develop and propose preventive maintenance plans to support production control and service continuity, in close collaboration with the Production and Maintenance departments.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities during production shutdowns, with the objective of minimizing machine and installation downtime.
- Establish intervention plans for external suppliers and oversee their work.
- Monitor outsourced repairs and standard equipment modifications.
- Ensure the safe decommissioning of equipment by performing control checks in coordination with authorized bodies and the Maintenance department.
- Be responsible for the certification of repairs and for conducting pre-startup inspections prior to resuming operations.
- Contribute to the implementation of monitoring systems to identify, analyze, and address major trends related to failure causes, breakdowns, and unplanned operations.
- Investigate issues and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Participate in the implementation of performance indicators related to activities, expenditures, and costs; support change implementation; monitor results; and report them to senior management.
- Coordinate and monitor requests for studies and modifications in accordance with the allocated budget.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department during the completion of works, new constructions, and capital investments, and follow up accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with QHSEI standards and company safety instructions.
- Participate in the required assessment and feasibility studies for all new projects.
- Apply the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Manage team organization and workforce planning.
Profil:
Hard Skills
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards related to site operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices.
- Solid knowledge of mechanics, electricity, instrumentation, and process safety.
- Knowledge of the site's buildings, installations, and work procedures.
- Knowledge of the SEVESO Directive (control of major accident hazards involving dangerous substances).
- Knowledge of FAMI-QS and HACCP standards.
- Knowledge of quality, safety, environmental, and food hygiene regulations.
- Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with SAP.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, both written and oral.

Education & Experience
- Degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Technical Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Engineering or Maintenance Department within an industrial environment.
