Within the Finance Department, the Risk Partnerships team oversees the Retrocession purchase to protect the global SCOR exposures. Retrocession is an integral part of the underwriting strategy of SCOR and ensures the protection of SCOR's capital while providing underwriters with sufficient capacity. The outward protections on which the intern will work aim to cover the worldwide P&C reinsurance treaties exposure (proportional / non-proportional) for property Cat.
Department
Within the Finance Department, the Risk Partnerships team is responsible for the purchase of retrocession to protect SCOR's global exposures. Retrocession is a key component of SCOR's underwriting strategy, ensuring the protection of the Group's capital while providing underwriters with sufficient capacity to support business growth. The outward protections on which the intern will work aim to cover the worldwide P&C reinsurance treaty portfolio (both proportional and non‑proportional), with a particular focus on Property Catastrophe risks.
Job Summary
The intern will support the team in enhancing the monitoring and management of collateralized contracts, which are critical to effective counterparty risk management and require accurate, timely, and reliable tracking.
This internship will provide the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with collateralized reinsurance and financial contracts, exposure to risk management and operational processes, and practical involvement in process automation and monitoring tool enhancements.
Depending on the team's operational needs, the intern may also be asked to assist with additional ad‑hoc tasks.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Cat account manager, your will support the Retrocession team mainly on the following tasks:
1. Enhance the efficiency and reliability of collateral monitoring processes
2. Reduce manual workload and operational risk through automation
3. Improve the follow‑up of collateral positions.
4. Contribute to stronger internal controls, including collateral movements tracking and timely reporting to external stakeholders such as brokers and retrocessionaires.

Candidate profile
* Student in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Finance, Data/Business Analytics or in a similar field.
* Ability to understand both business needs and technical solutions
* Analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
* You like working in an international team.
Required Technical & Soft skills
* Very good command of Excel (formulas, pivot tables; VBA or Power Query is a plus)
* Interest in automation and process improvement.
* Basic knowledge of databases, Python, SQL, or BI tools is a plus.
* Fluent in English (French is a plus).
