The mission of our Business Division (BD), Technology and Technical Support (T&TS), is to offer our clients sustainable and efficient solutions in the areas where Axens is involved. The Technology Engineer position is central to Axens' activities, combining technical support to sales, client partnerships, R&D actions, and project execution.
Your Missions :
In the Group Deep Conversion & Upgrading, the FCC Technology Engineer will:
· Analyze customer needs and competitive context to deliver optimal technical solutions, including pre-sizing equipment and calculating project economics.
· Prepare technical proposals, estimate performance, make technology choices, and provide technical guarantees.
· Support Regional Sales Managers in offer preparation and defense.
· Promote Axens' technologies, catalysts, and services through marketing actions.
· Maintain technical relationships with clients, perform on-site missions (e.g., performance tests, catalyst replacement, unit restart), and troubleshoot issues.
· Monitor plant data to identify improvements, lead R&D actions for new products or processes, and contribute to conceptual studies and projects for clients.
Knowledge and Required Level :
You are a Chemical Engineer, Process Engineer, or General Engineer with strong knowledge in process design within the refining/petrochemistry field, regardless of the technology.
Skills in design and equipment sizing using simulation software (ProII, Hysis, etc.) are mandatory for you.
You should have good knowledge of FCC or other fluidized bed technologies, with some skills in Mechanical Engineering or refractory materials being a plus.
You must be fluent in English for this position.
