Build the Backbone of Enterprise‑Scale API & Data Platforms

Are you a Senior Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and API platforms? Trissential is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our client in supporting a large‑scale Apigee Hybrid and multi‑cloud modernization initiative.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain robust ETL / ELT data pipelines using best practices in data management and governance
• Analyze and process complex, high‑volume data sources in fast‑paced environments
• Perform data modeling against large datasets for performance and scalability
• Design and deploy Apigee Hybrid runtimes across GCP, Azure (AKS), and on‑prem Kubernetes environments
• Provision and manage Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and multi‑cloud connectivity
• Develop and maintain Terraform‑based infrastructure as code
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and SIEM / Zero‑Trust security controls
• Identify and implement process automation to eliminate manual tasks and improve reliability
• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation
• Support production readiness, go‑live milestones, and knowledge transfer activities
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development
• 5+ years of hands‑on SQL programming
• 3+ years building and maintaining automated data pipelines (batch and/or streaming)
• 3+ years of Kubernetes experience (AKS required; GKE or on‑prem preferred)
• Strong experience in multi‑cloud environments (Azure & GCP)
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Apigee Hybrid architecture
• Understanding of edge platforms (Akamai preferred)
• Experience with observability, logging, and SIEM integrations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
• Cloud or Kubernetes certifications
• Apigee Hybrid or Akamai (including Noname) experience
• GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux

Education & Certifications You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
