The Project Operations Business Division is in charge of process design packages, proprietary and automation equipment, modular units and process furnaces, from design to start-up, for our customers' refineries, petrochemical and industrial sites, using both the Group's historical technologies and technologies linked to the energy transition. Our aim is to deliver quality projects, on time and on budget, while ensuring the safety of all concerned.
Within the Project Operations Business Division, the Projects department is responsible for the execution of projects involving furnaces and modular units, proprietary equipment and automation.
MISSIONS
Working in the Projects Department of the Business Division Project Operations (BD POP), as a Project Engineer you will be responsible for projects involving the production of modules or furnaces under the supervision of a project manager. In particular, you will supervise one or more supplier/subcontractor subcontracts, ensuring interfaces both inside and outside Axens.
This type of position may involve travels abroad for technical meetings or inspection missions, with the customer or with suppliers.
Your main activities will be as follows:
* You assist the project manager in managing a project, * You are responsible for compliance with contractual specifications, and for the technical definition of materials and equipment in your field of activity, * You check and validate the technical conformity of deliverables and equipment from suppliers/subcontractors with regard to specifications, * You take part in technical meetings and act as a delegated interface with the customer, * You take part in the preparation of tender documents for suppliers: technical part of the equipment list, request for consultation, technical comparison tables of offers, technical pre-selection, * You act as the interface between the various external (subcontractors, customer) and internal (engineering, supply chain, inspection, DCC) stakeholders in monitoring the orders for which you are responsible, to ensure that they are carried out correctly, in terms of quality, deadlines and costs, * With the help of the Document Controller, you prepare technical files (final files, technical passports, etc.) when necessary, * You challenge the Project Manager on anticipated difficulties and proposed solutions.
Description du profil
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
With a scientific background in chemical, mechanical or general engineering, you have experience in process design or in a similar position as a project engineer, or in detail engineering.
A good command of English is imperative; another language would be a plus.
Knowledge of quality standards, regulatory constraints on energy and/or petrochemical projects, and a strong awareness of occupational health and safety are desirable.
