Your Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance automated testing frameworks using Playwright as the primary tool
• Build and maintain reusable automation components that ensure consistency, scalability, and high code quality
• Partner with development teams, QA engineers, and product owners to define automation strategy and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct root-cause analysis and provide meaningful insights on defects, failures, and quality risks
• Ensure automation is aligned with modern engineering best practices and supports rapid, reliable deployments
• Optimize automation execution performance and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency
• Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvements of the automation ecosystem
• Collaborate across teams to ensure automation coverage supports business priorities and technical needs

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 10+ years of experience in automation engineering or test automation development
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Playwright, including framework creation, setup, configuration, and custom scripting
• Strong programming experience in languages commonly used with Playwright (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python)
• Experience designing scalable, modular automation solutions for web applications
• Strong understanding of automated testing principles, CI/CD pipelines, quality engineering, and DevOps workflows
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, Agile environments
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
• Experience integrating automation into large-scale enterprise platforms
• Background in performance testing, API automation, or test orchestration
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments

Education & Certifications You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Test automation or QA certifications are a plus but not required

• Competitive Compensation - You choose the model that works best for you, both with company-sponsored benefits! $124,000-$141,000 annually or $70-$80 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
