Description du poste


Technicolor IT department is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (H/F) to join the team in Rennes. The successful candidate will be mainly contributing on maintaining and developing local IT systems in a challenging R&D environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for advanced system administration, operational support and problem resolution for a complex Linux /Windows computing environment, including both virtualized and physical servers
- Manage ESX environment and associated systems (i.e. SAN)
- Responsible for architecture, capacity planning, monitoring and management
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems; take appropriate corrective action
- Keep platforms secured by implementing fixes and patches as requested
- Automate as much operations and monitoring
- Develop and maintain systems documentation
- Stay in tune with new technologies
- Interface with R&D engineers on their technical requests

PROFILE

- Master's degree in Computer Science
- 10+ Years of system administration experience
- Strong expertise of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Excellent experience with designing, installing and administering VMware ESX environment
- Strong knowledge about SAN Configuration and Implementation
- Experience with modern DevOps practices (server orchestration, configuration management, automated deploys, monitoring, … ).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes,
- Knowledge of Scripting/programming languages
- Solid networking knowledge
- Familiar with tools used in R&D environment (i.e. Jira/Gitolite/Confluence/Jenkins/Artifactory…)
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple environments
- Good analysis skills, rigor and method, respect for procedures and standards
- Team spirit, autonomy, good communication skills
- Fluent English mandatory
