Senior Wealth Planning Specialist M/F

Reporting to the Head of Wealth Planning, Singapore, the incumbent is expected to provide wealth structuring capabilities for internal and external clients ensuring the bank operates within a tax compliant environment.

The role is challenging and job responsibilities involve the following key areas, under the supervision of the Head of Wealth Planning Asia:

Client Wealth Planning Advisory :

• Be able to independently provide wealth structuring and tax guidance to clients including recommending relevant structures and/or introduce the bank's network of Global Wealth Structuring departments in various jurisdictions.
• Provide preliminary advice &/or guidance to Relationship Managers on client's estate planning needs and highlight preliminary tax/legal considerations.
• Assist clients to articulate the characteristics of their requirements in wealth structuring matters to an approved external service provider and/or liaise with the bank's network of Global Wealth Structuring departments and assist with the follow-through on documentation and processes involving account opening.
• Travel shall be required to support Relationship Managers in meetings.

Wealth Managers training :

• Expected to conduct orientation and on-going training and/or arrange with external professional experts to conduct training for RMs on estate planning and trending issues such as tax updates.

Research and Development :

• Perform accurate and updated research on tax and wealth structuring issues

• Monitor tax and wealth structuring issues related to the evolution of regulations and tax treaties from an operational angle and provide regular updates.
• Efficiently communicate changes and updates to the tax experts network

Tax Risk Assessment :

• Review potential and or existing structure(s) to ensure it is tax compliant with the ever changing global tax laws and group policies (e.g. FATCA, CRS, and AEOI).
• Conduct and provide tax conformity analysis & internal memorandum for Account Opening Committee, Credit Committee etc. based on file review conducted, interview and issues researched.
