• You are a Bac+4/5 Level (minimum) student, from an engineering school or a university in food microbiology, food safety or related field
• You are available in July for 6 months
• You demonstrate mathematical skills
• You have a strong ability in concept formalization and you are able to create clear documentation
• You are fluent in English both written and oral
• You have a strong ability in communication and you are able to work in an international environment

Under the responsibility of the Danone Global Food Safety Officer (DGFSO), the Department Food Safety@Danone (FS@D) has the mission to ensure that Danone creates, manufactures and delivers its products everyday with no compromise on food safety by strictly following the Danone compliance policy and anticipating emerging risks. The scope covered by the FS@D includes all businesses, partners, co-manufacturers and third parties.

Your missions
Reporting to the Food Safety Microbiology manager, the main purpose of the Food Safety Intern will be to compile a database for application in Microbiological Risk Assessment. This database will compile data on effectiveness of critical control measures in the control of major food safety and spoilage micro-organisms. This will entail the following:
• Review decontamination techniques for the inactivation of key microorganisms on packaging and environmental surfaces
• Literature review of inactivation parameters for identified technologies
• Develop a database with relevant information
• Data analysis
• Fitting of predictive models to growth/inactivation data
• Application of predictive models in Microbiological Risk Assessment
